All of our projects begin with a free discovery meeting. We will cover your intent and your objectives first, followed by function and then style. We are always seeking a collaborative approach and we will ask how you plan to work, play, relax, retreat and entertain within the space. Our goal is to incorporate contemporary, fresh and timeless design into each and every build.

When you engage our services the process starts with the concept drawings, followed by the working (construction) drawings, to council submission, which leads to the construction of the project (if required). We relieve you of the stress and worry that can take over if your aren't well prepared and versed in the complexities of a renovation or new build..
Here is an overview of the process you can expect from the team at M + L Design.
STEP 1 - You book an obligation free initial meeting at our studio or via Zoom to meet the M + L team to discuss your vision and goals.
STEP 2 - Post meeting, the M + L Design team review your vision and goals for the project and formalise these notes into a fixed fee quote for the design and documentation. The quote is then emailed to you for approval.
STEP 3 - You engage our services. We then create concept / schematic designs for your review. A client / designer meeting takes place either in our studio or via zoom once you have reviewed the concept plans.
STEP 4 - Once we have your approval of the schematic design we then move on to the preparation of construction and / or DA documents, another designer / client meeting takes place. Once you approve these next stage of the drawings we can then submit to council if required.
STEP 5 - Whilst drawings are in council we collaborate with you and finalise the finishes and materials selection that are consistent with your budget.
