If you’re renovating or building a new home and you have a set of plans from your Architect or Building Designer, your chosen Builder is going to ask you a whole LOT of questions with regards to your Bathrooms and Laundry when it comes to the construction phase.
Firstly, are you happy with the layouts?
What tiles are you using?
Is there any feature tiling?
Are the tiles in stock or is there a long lead time?
What colour grout are you having?
Do you want under floor heating?
What tapware have you selected?
Is the tap ware in stock, if not what is the lead time?
Is your vanity unit custom made or ‘off the shelf’?
If it’s custom, are you having drawers or cupboards?
What bench top are you having on the vanity units?
Are you having wall hung mirrors or do you require face level storage?
Are the taps off the wall, on the basin or on the bench top?
Are your basin/s countertop or under mount or wall hung?
What type of bath are you having?
Where is the bath tap to be positioned?
What type of shower screen are you having?
Is there any feature lighting?
What height do you want your tapware at?
Is the WC (toilet) a back to wall or is it an in-wall cistern?
Is your preference for floor grates, or do you want standard floor wastes?
Does your laundry have an under-bench washer / dryer or are they stacked?
What are you storing in your laundry?
Do you need a drying rail?
The list of questions is a long one…
In order to have a seamless and enjoyable building experience you need to have answers to all the above questions, have a set of plans and elevations plus a schedule of selections for your Builder to construct from…and you need to organise this ideally prior to construction commencing.
That is where our ‘Wet area package’ comes in.
